Healing Issues

People who are chronically unhappy may be suffering from Post Traumatic Stress Disorders. The cause of the unhappiness and the inability to move out of it may not be apparent. In my case, the trauma came from child abuse and war wounds. 

Generally, healing steps are as follows:  

Victim Symptoms

     ■  We feel alone, helpless and hopeless.

     ■  We survive by putting on a "mask", a happy face.

Victory

We finally reach out for help and use the 3 R's as tools:

     ■  R-recognize and/or identify our problems

     ■  R-release the past with a recovery program which involves releasing past

       fears by applying Forgiveness.  

     ■  R-replace emptiness with peace of mind.

Vision

We begin to see through the eyes of God.

   ■  We have realized that all obstacles become opportunities to heal.

   ■  We finally integrate, feel whole and loved again and part of God or All There Is.

   ■  Then our only purpose in life becomes to live in harmony and extend God's Love

      here on earth.


Here I go with my first article to share that ACIM saved not only my physical life but especially my spiritual life. Just as the Course indicates, it gently reversed my FIBS- false ideas, false beliefs, errors or mistakes. My physical brain may have been the instrument but the actual shift of thoughts occurred in my mind, heart, soul or spirit. Jesus lovingly moved me from thoughts of pain to thoughts of peace.
