About Sparkles

Bettina was born in Germany and presently lives in north central Arkansas with her husband Michael. July 31, 2003 she retired after a 38 year flying career. She's devoted her 'free' time to writing, a creative effort of blending her love for flying and her dedication to recovery and spirituality. Sparkles and Michael have another dream - to develop a wildlife sanctuary and a vacation retreat on their 130-acre property 'Harmony Hills' located in the beautiful Ozark Mountains.

My Adopted Name 'Sparkles' 

Bettina lived most of her life in fear but in 1985 she began to turn her life around. At that time she was guided to the spiritual name "Sparkles". It has two main functions for Bettina:

• To remind her to honor her Inner Spark of God, her Inner Child

• To live her purpose of life, to shine and sparkle God's Love here on earth.

How I started to have more peace in my life 

I started to look at all my false beliefs about myself and the world. After much soul searching, I recalled the ancient healing philosophy "Know Thy Self". I've adopted this philosophy and using airline terminology I call this concept: PUTTING ON MY OWN OXYGEN MASK FIRST, BEFORE ASSISTING OTHERS. This philosophy and approach helped me to reclaim my Inner Child-my Inner Spirit.
